December Charity Partner: Tackle Kids Cancer

This December, Casely is partnering with Tackle Kids Cancer, a New Jersey-based organization that fights pediatric cancer through research and world-class care. What Does Tackle Kids Cancer Do?

Tackle Kids Cancer shows up for kids and families facing the toughest fight of their lives. Founded in 2015, this fantastic organization raises money for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs, and every dollar stays local. 

Their Most Valiant Patients (MVPs) get world-class care at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, which are home to New Jersey’s only pediatric bone marrow transplant program. And, because the National Cancer Institute dedicates just a smidge of its budget to childhood cancer, Tackle Kids Cancer’s work matters more than ever.

How Does Tackle Kids Cancer Help?

Tackle Kids Cancer fights for kids and families on every front. Its care programs power more than 100 open clinical trials and give each child whole-person support. 

That includes everything from support from Child Life Therapists and social workers to music therapy, creative arts, neuro-oncology care, CAR T-cell therapy, and even funding for Sickle Cell Disease treatment. Its team also provides in-hospital support programs for families, including an amazing Sibling Support Program, so no one feels alone during treatment.

When kids finish cancer treatment, the help doesn’t stop. Their Cure & Beyond survivorship team—the first in New Jersey—steps in two years post-treatment to reduce long-term health impacts. Not only does it support fertility preservation, but it also guides survivors through the emotional and social challenges that follow. With two-thirds of these survivors facing lifelong medical issues because of pediatric cancer, this support matters.

Behind it all, there’s groundbreaking research at the Hackensack Meridian Center for Discovery and Innovation. It takes time, but Tackle Kids Cancer’s work is moving pediatric cancer treatments forward every day.

What Can You Do To Help?

There are plenty of ways to jump in and make a real difference. Start with Eli’s Challenge, a year-round fundraising partnership with the New York Giants and Eli Manning. Launch it for your birthday, a school project, or just because—bake sales, car washes, lemonade stands, you name it. Every dollar you raise gets matched up to $200,000.
