June Charity Partner: The Trevor Project

To celebrate Pride Month, Casely is partnering with The Trevor Project as June’s charity partner of the month.

If you're new around here (hey!), each month Casely donates a portion of every sale to a partner charity through the #everycasecounts initiative. June's partner is an organization doing genuinely important work for LGBTQ+ young people — The Trevor Project.

What is The Trevor Project?

The Trevor Project is the world's leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention non-profit for LGBTQ+ young people under 25. 

They've been making change and providing real support since 1998, named after an Academy Award-winning short film about a gay teenager in crisis. More than 25 years later, the mission is the same: be there for LGBTQ+ young people when they need it most.

The Trevor Project’s 2025 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People found that 44% of LGBTQ+ young people who wanted to seek out mental health support in the past year weren’t able to get it, and 10% attempted suicide. The Trevor Project exists to change that. 

What Does The Trevor Project Do?

Through direct crisis support, ongoing research, policy advocacy, and a true passion for what they do, The Trevor Project and their volunteers work every day to make the world we live in a safer, more affirming place for LGBTQ+ young people everywhere.

Crisis Support

They operate a free, confidential crisis line staffed by trained counselors, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whatever the hour, whatever the weight of the moment, someone picks up.

Text and Chat Support

Not everyone is ready to make a call, and The Trevor Project gets that. Text and chat options offer the same real-time support through text and online chat. Reaching out should feel doable, and they make sure it is.

Peer Support

TrevorSpace is a moderated online community for LGBTQ+ young people. A place to find others who get it, build connections, and feel a little less alone. Sometimes that's exactly what makes the difference.

Research and Advocacy

The Trevor Project doesn't just respond to crises. They study them, document them, and use that data to push for legislation that makes life safer before a crisis even starts. Through research around LGBTQ+ mental health, they build the evidence base needed to shape policies and practices that actually protect young people at a systemic level.

Public Education

Beyond research, The Trevor Project works to educate schools, workplaces, and community groups on how they can better support LGBTQ+ young people. Through ally training, educator resources, and awareness campaigns, the goal is to create an environment where LGBTQ+ youth feel safe and affirmed.

What Can You Do to Get Involved and Support The Trevor Project?

Share the Resources

Head to TheTrevorProject.org to find crisis support resources and share them with the people in your life. Post them to your story, send them to a friend, keep them somewhere easy to find. You never know who might need them.

Donate

Online, you can make a one-time or recurring gift. Every dollar goes toward keeping crisis lines staffed, research moving, and advocacy as loud as it needs to be.
