July Charity Partner: The Bowery Mission

Every month, Casely partners with an organization doing meaningful work in the world. July 2026's partner is The Bowery Mission. They have been showing up for New York City for over 140 years, serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty across the NYC metro area. 

Here's a closer look at who they are, what they do, and how you can support them too.

What Is The Bowery Mission?

The Bowery Mission was founded in the 1870s with the straightforward purpose of serving New Yorkers in crisis. Operating out of New York City, it's one of the longest-running missions in the country, and that longevity says a lot.

Grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity and a real path forward, The Bowery Mission offers both immediate relief and longer-term support. No conditions. Just help when people need it most.

What Does The Bowery Mission Do?

Meeting Immediate Needs

Last year, in 2025, The Bowery Mission provided New Yorkers in need with:

• 430,000 meals
• 55,000 emergency showers
• 78,000 nights of shelter
• 25,000 articles of clothing

For someone navigating the city without a home, especially in the height of summer, access to a safe space and a meal isn't a small thing. It can be the turning point.

Supporting Long-Term Recovery

The Bowery Mission doesn't stop at immediate relief. Life recovery programs, job readiness resources, and community support help individuals work toward real, lasting stability. 

The goal is to genuinely help people build toward something better, not only just get someone through the night.

Volunteer

The Bowery Mission's volunteers are a core part of what makes it work. Serving meals, helping at events, or simply showing up with a willing pair of hands. It all matters.
