About Kids in Need Foundation - August's #EveryCaseCounts Charity Partner

Casely does more than just create the most stylish and protective phone cases out there. We also keep our heart close to our business, selecting a charity partner each month to donate a portion of our profits.

There are tons of world-changing charities out there, and it's our privilege to be able to highlight some of the amazing work they're doing and allow our customers to lend a hand while shopping.

As many people around the country prepare to go back to school this fall, we couldn't be more proud to announce August's #EveryCaseCounts charity partner, the Kids in Need Foundation!

Now, let's learn more about the organization's initiatives and the impact they're making every day.

Get to Know the Kids in Need Foundation

The Kids in Need Foundation (KINF) believes that every American child has a right to a quality education. Its mission is to partner with students and teachers at underserved schools to offer the resources and support they need for effective teaching and learning.

KINF serves an estimated 7.8 million students and nearly 317,000 teachers nationwide through its network and programs. It distributes over $162 million in free resources and supplies to support access to quality education for all.

KINF has several initiatives, including its “Supply a Student” or “Supply a Teacher” option. These programs connect interested donors through their website so they can directly support someone with the supplies they need to succeed.

They also have a national network of resource centers available throughout the US, focusing on serving schools with at least 70% student enrollment in the National School Lunch Program.

Learn About the Impact of Poverty and Lack of Resources on Schools

  • 12.6 million American children live in poverty.
  • More than 63%—nearly 2 out of 3 students—arrive at school without the supplies they need.
  • Teachers report that their students experience an 86.7% increase in preparedness, a 77% increase in class participation, and a 70% increase in self-esteem when they arrive prepared for class.
  • 1 out of 3 teachers spends more than $500 of their own money on resources and materials for their students.
  • KINF's goal is to support 500,000 teachers and 10 million students by 2025, and every donation counts.

Give to Kids in Need

There are numerous ways you can lend a hand and impact the lives and educations of students and the livelihood of teachers.

KINF is always in need of donations, either in the form of school products and materials or monetary donations. You can also volunteer at one of their 40+ nationwide resource centers or the organization's headquarters in Minnesota.

Not near a center? You can volunteer remotely by starting a fundraiser in your local area or become a Kids Helping Kids ambassador to raise awareness and support in your community.

They also have corporate sponsorship opportunities and additional individual or group opportunities to check out.

The Easiest Way to Support KINF

The simplest way to support KINF this month is to choose a Casely phone case you love. Feel good knowing a portion of the proceeds go directly to an incredible organization making a difference in teachers' and students' lives nationwide. And, if you post on your Instagram with the hashtag #EveryCaseCounts, that's another dollar toward the cause. Start shopping for a good cause.
